Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical/Fluid Engineer to lead high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid system design for test facilities in the Seattle area. You will develop process architecture, design fixtures, and oversee fabrication, installation, and commissioning, with occasional travel to support multiple sites.

The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and quality, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and drive complex projects from concept through implementation.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical/fluids design.
• Demonstrated expertise in fluid analysis and piping design, including process component selection and fluid system architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of fluid system components (e.g., valves, regulators, and pumps for cryogenics, propellants, and other fluids).
• Practical knowledge of standard installation and fabrication methods for piping systems (pipe stock, fittings, connections, fasteners, welding, etc.).
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and ASME BPVC codes.

Mansioni

• Lead and own the design of high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid systems, including developing process architecture and layout.
• Design and develop mechanical test fixtures and structural supports.
• Conduct Process Hazard Analysis activities for fluid systems (HAZOP).
• Manage suppliers, coordinating cost, schedule, and technical design requirements.
• Provide remote and on-site support during the fabrication, installation, and start-up of new facilities or upgrades.
• Prepare comprehensive project plans including budget, schedule, and work breakdown structures.
• Coordinate with customers to refine project scope and requirements.
• Mentor newer engineers and perform peer reviews as appropriate based on experience level.
