Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville is seeking a Mechanical/Fluid Engineer to lead the design of high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid systems for test facilities and spaceflight hardware. You will develop fixtures and supports, perform HAZOP, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure safety, quality, and schedule.

The role requires 5+ years in fluid design, ASME B31.3 knowledge, and a collaborative approach to mentoring engineers in a safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in fluid systems and piping design.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and cryogenic fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of high-pressure gas and cryogenic fluid systems.
• Develop mechanical test fixtures and structural supports.
• Conduct HAZOP and manage suppliers for cost, schedule, and technical design requirements.
• Provide remote and on-site support for facilities upgrades and fabrication.
• Prepare project plans with budget, schedule, and work breakdown structures.
• Coordinate with customers to refine project scope and requirements.
• Mentor newer engineers and perform peer reviews.
