Job summary

Unigen is seeking an experienced Test Engineering Manager to lead the Test Engineering team in Newark, CA. You will oversee PCBA test strategy, including Functional Test, ICT, and Flying Probe testing, ensuring robust coverage and manufacturing readiness.

You will drive test program development, fixture design, validation, and process improvements while collaborating with NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Design teams to deliver high-quality electronics products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or a related technical field.
• 8+ years in test engineering, preferably in EMS/PCBA/electronics manufacturing.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in PCBA Functional Testing, ICT and Flying Probe Testing.
• Experience with test program development, fixtures, validation, and implementation.
• Ability to lead technical projects and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Test Engineers, set priorities, timelines and performance expectations.
• Oversee development, validation and maintenance of PCBA testing solutions (Functional Test, ICT, Flying Probe).
• Drive test program design, fixtures, procedures and methodologies.
• Support NPI and production ramp‑ups with robust test requirements.
• Pursue continuous improvement for yield, test coverage, cycle times and false failures.
