Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Test Engineering (MTE) team in Newark, CA. The role focuses on PCBA testing strategy, development, and continuous improvement to ensure manufacturing readiness and product quality.

You will guide test programs (Functional Test, ICT, Flying Probe), mentor engineers, and collaborate with NPI, Quality, and Design teams to address complex test challenges and optimize yields.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or related field.
• 8+ years in test engineering in EMS or electronics manufacturing.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Expertise in PCBA Functional Testing, ICT and Flying Probe.
• Experience with test program development and validation.
• Strong understanding of PCB design and manufacturing test methods.
• Experience with NPI, ramp-up, and yield improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Test Engineers with priorities and timelines.
• Define test strategies and standards across manufacturing programs.
• Oversee PCBA testing solutions including Functional Test, ICT, and Flying Probe.
• Partner with NPI and Production teams to ensure readiness and ramp-up.
• Drive continuous improvement in yield, test coverage, and cycle time.
