Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search is engaged to find an experienced Test Engineering Manager for a Newark, CA electronics manufacturing client.

You will lead the Test Engineering team, shape PCBA test strategies, and partner with NPI, manufacturing, and design teams to ensure robust testing and high yields. You will oversee Functional Testing, ICT, and Flying Probe programs, mentor engineers, drive continuous improvement, and ensure readiness for production ramps while aligning with quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in test engineering, preferably within an EMS, PCBA, or electronics manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in PCBA Functional Testing, In-Circuit Testing (ICT), and Flying Probe Testing.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing test program development, test fixture design, test validation, and test process implementation.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, PCBA design, component-level troubleshooting, and manufacturing test methodologies.
• Experience supporting NPI, production ramp-up, yield improvement, and high-volume manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects, develop engineering talent, and manage competing priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Test Engineers with clear priorities and performance standards.
• Define and implement PCBA test strategies for Functional Test, ICT, and Flying Probe.
• Support NPI and production ramp-up with robust test coverage.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for yield and defect issues.
• Improve test efficiency, cycle time, and retest rates.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet specifications.
