Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineering Manager to lead the Test Engineering team for PCBA testing in Newark, CA. The role focuses on Functional Testing, ICT, and Flying Probe Testing within an electronics manufacturing environment.

The candidate will provide technical leadership, manage resources, and drive improvements in test coverage, yield, and manufacturing readiness for new products and ramped production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• 8+ years of test engineering experience in EMS/PCBA/electronics manufacturing.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Expert in PCBA Functional Testing, ICT and Flying Probe Testing.
• Experience developing test programs, fixtures, validation, and process implementation.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits and PCBA design.
• Experience with NPI, production ramp-up, yield improvements.
• Proven ability to manage priorities and lead technical projects.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Test Engineers with priorities, timelines, and performance expectations.
• Define test strategies, standards, and best practices across manufacturing programs.
• Oversee the development, implementation, validation, and maintenance of PCBA testing solutions (Functional Test, ICT, Flying Probe).
• Partner with NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, Design, and Program Management to ensure production readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, cycle time, yields, and defect reduction.
