Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) in Dahlgren, VA. This full-time on-site role designs and maintains automated test scripts, develops test plans, and executes manual and automated testing with government customers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software/systems testing experience, proficiency in test automation and Linux environments, and strong requirements traceability. U.S.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortably reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Proven ability to link requirements to test cases and artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.
• Strong teamwork with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing across static, dynamic, integration, and system levels.
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
