SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on designing and maintaining automated test scripts, developing test plans, and executing tests across levels, with collaboration to identify and resolve defects.

Candidates should have 2+ years of testing experience, Linux proficiency, and strong communication; US citizenship and ability to work on-site 5 days/week are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software/systems testing experience.
• Automation scripts or code experience.
• Familiarity with reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux environments.
• Strong requirements traceability and documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to customers.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface with government customers daily; occasionally present testing documentation.
