Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, develop test plans tied to requirements, and execute manual and automated testing while collaborating with developers and government customers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software testing experience, proficiency in test automation and Linux, and strong requirements traceability. U.S. citizenship and on-site work five days a week are required.

Qualifications

2+ years of software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
Experience using Linux systems.
Proven ability to link requirements to test cases and manage test artifacts.
Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.
Strong teamwork and the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
Interface directly with government customers daily.
Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
