Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, write traceable test plans, and run manual and automated tests across levels while collaborating with developers and government customers.

Requirements include 2+ years in software testing, Linux experience, C++ familiarity, and strong communication skills. This on-site role requires U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automated test scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Proven ability to trace requirements to test cases and manage artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.
• Strong teamwork and ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing at multiple levels.
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprints and CCB activities.
• Interface with government customers daily and present testing documentation.
