Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. The role requires designing and maintaining automated test scripts, developing test plans, and executing both manual and automated testing across multiple levels.

Daily collaboration with developers and government customers is expected, with on-site work and a Secret clearance. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of software/testing experience, proficiency in test automation and Linux, and strong

Qualifications

2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
Comfortabillity reviewing C++ code.
Experience using Linux systems.
Proven ability to trace requirements to test cases and manage test artifacts.
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to customers.
Strong teamwork and ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
Interface directly with government customers daily.
