Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team on-site at NSWC Dahlgren. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test plans tied to requirements, and execute manual and automated testing across levels while collaborating with developers and government customers.

The role requires 2+ years in software/systems testing, Linux proficiency, and strong requirements traceability. Active Secret Clearance is required for access to classified information.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Proven ability to document and resolve complex software issues.
• Experience linking requirements to test cases and managing test artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers.
• Strong teamwork and ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface directly and professionally with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
