SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. The role focuses on designing and maintaining automated tests, developing test plans, and executing both manual and automated testing across multiple levels.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of software/testing experience, strong automation skills, and proficiency with Linux. U.S. citizenship and on-site work five days/week are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code and using Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied directly to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate closely with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface directly and professionally with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
