Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. This full-time, on-site role designs and maintains automated test scripts, develops test plans tied to requirements, and executes manual and automated testing across multiple levels.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software/testing experience, strong automation and Linux skills, and solid requirements traceability. US citizenship and on-site work five days a week are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code
• Experience using Linux systems
• Proven analytical ability to find and resolve issues
• Experience linking requirements to test cases and artifacts
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to customers
• Strong teamwork and multitasking with limited supervision

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system-level)
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools
• Identify and track defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities
• Interface with government customers daily and occasionally present testing docs
