SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA.

The role involves designing and maintaining automated test scripts, creating detailed test plans and cases linked to requirements, and executing manual and automated testing across multiple levels on-site. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in software/systems testing, proficiency in test automation, Linux environments, strong requirements traceability, and excellent communication for daily customer

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex software issues.
• Ability to map requirements to test cases and manage test artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, descriptions, and cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily.
• Occasionally present technical testing documentation.
