Job summary

SimVentions, Inc in Dahlgren, VA seeks a Test Engineer for its SLBM team. You will design and maintain automated test scripts, create test plans tied to requirements, and execute both manual and automated testing across levels. This role requires 2+ years of testing experience, Linux proficiency, and DoD domain familiarity.

Active Secret Clearance is required. Expect on-site work 5 days/week with direct interaction with government customers and frequent test reporting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code
• Experience using Linux systems
• Strong requirements traceability skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers
• Strong teamwork and ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level)
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities
• Interface with government customers daily; occasionally present testing documentation
