Job summary

Caterpillar Brazil seeks a diesel engine specialist for a Mississippi manufacturing/test facility. You will lead engine testing, diagnose test cells, and support NPIs and new equipment runs.

You’ll develop standard work, control plans, PFMEA, and collaborate across engineering, operations, and suppliers. You should have 5+ years in diesel engines or an associated degree, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/Creo), and MES/Pinpoint experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a diesel engine manufacturing or test facility.
• Experience reading wiring and mechanical schematics (prints).
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems, recognizing the need for support and creating teams to accomplish tasks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting of engine test
• Ability to run and diagnose test cells
• Support NPI and implementation of updated processes
• Support installation and run-off of new equipment
• Create and update standard work, safe operating procedures, control plans and FMEA documentation
• Interfacing with operations and other cross functional groups in addition to engineering team members
• Determine and perform root cause corrective analyses and actions
• Tooling/fixturing design and improvements
