Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an Engineer to support development, testing, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies to maximize product quality and efficiency.

This role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to resolve production issues and implement new technologies. The candidate will analyze data, develop procedures, and ensure manufacturing readiness, while contributing to cost reduction and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical field (equivalent experience may be considered).
• Experience supporting manufacturing, testing, product development, or engineering-related activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and participate in technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Resolve design and manufacturing issues to ensure successful product implementation, design acceptance, and manufacturing readiness.
• Plan, develop, and improve testing procedures and operations to increase test reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor test results, machine performance, process capability, and equipment reliability to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support the adoption and implementation of new technologies, automation systems, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, and other process improvements.
• Analyze technical and manufacturing data to identify root causes, evaluate alternatives, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, document, and maintain testing procedures, methods, and reports.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing, testing, equipment, and process-related issues and implement effective solutions.
• Participate in projects focused on process improvement, quality enhancement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing and product development objectives.
• Communicate technical findings, recommendations, and project updates through presentations, reports, and team discussions.
