Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Seguin, Texas is seeking a dynamic Production Technician III to join our Power Generation team. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot diesel generators, aligning engine components per work instructions and training newer technicians.

This role emphasizes quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a production environment. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read English documents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' experience in a manufacturing work environment or relevant college degree.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Strong problem-solving skills and safety-conscious mindset.
• Ability to work with others and take initiative; work autonomously when needed.
• Intermediate experience with computers/tablets and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Align and secure engine components according to work instructions.
• Install gaskets, seals, wiring, hoses, covers, and visual components.
• Ensure parts and materials are defect-free in assembly.
• Assist in problem-solving and improvement initiatives; escalate issues as needed.
• Verify alignment using schematics/prints; perform quality inspections and audits.
• Support continuous improvement cards and training of new team members.
