Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to generate profitable business for Trench Safety by developing your territory and implementing sales plans. You will build the customer base, prepare proposals, and coordinate with engineers to meet timelines and safety standards.

You will promote safety training capabilities, maintain CRM records, and work with management to achieve annual sales targets. A strong technical background and proven sales experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience with 2+ years direct sales experience.
• Strong project management, new business development and customer retention skills.
• Proven sales track record in solution-selling approach.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Requires a strong technical background, detail-oriented and ability to present technical information to engineers and management.
• Highly organized and able to handle multiple opportunities and clients concurrently.
• Current/valid driver’s license in good standing, and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and promote Sunbelt’s safety culture.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans to expand existing customer base and develop new customers within assigned territory and market segments.
• Solicit business by calling on regular and prospective customers via phone or traveling throughout the territory for planned visits or cold calls.
• Prepare proposals or bid packages by understanding blueprints and related customer documents with Sunbelt engineers and other resources.
• Coordinate project specs with internal operational personnel to meet customer timeline and requirements.
• Maintain CRM database daily with sales calls and job site details.
• Develop and achieve Annual Territory Sales Plan with KPI’s and revenue targets.
• Learn all aspects of equipment, function, and applications.
