Job Title:Territory Sales Manager, Footwear

Location: Remote – Rockies (MT, ID, WY, CO, NM, AZ)

Job Summary:

Korkers is seeking a Territory Sales Manager responsible for maximizing profitable wholesale sales growth within the territory across all Korkers footwear categories – outdoor (summer & winter), fishing, and industrial.The core function of this role is to acquire new accounts through direct sales efforts and build upon relationships with existing wholesale customers.Direct involvement with accounts is integral.This role is for you if you are a pro-active self-starter who is willing to work hard to find new business and challenge existing accounts to grow.If you’re looking to maintain an established book of business and cash the commission checks, please do not apply.

  • Responsible for the sell-in and sell-through of all Korkers products in the territory – fishing, outdoor, and industrial.
  • Develops and executes seasonal and annual sales strategies for the territory that ensures attainment of company top line sales goals.
  • Prospects new sales leads and cultivates new sales revenue by developing relationships with retail and distributor partners.
  • Develops customized sales proposals and presentations for all key accounts in the region.
  • Manages the development and implementation of customized marketing and merchandising programs for key accounts.
  • Main point of communication with all wholesale accounts in the territory.
  • Conducts product knowledge clinics and attends dealer events & shows in territory to drive sales.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the company promoting the brand and product at all sales-related events.
  • Works with Director of Sales to establish seasonal and annual territory sales forecasts to help plan company inventory.
  • Successfully manages sales programs, discounts, allowances, and pricing to ensure maximum profit margins.
  • Regularly communicates sales trend data, customer needs, and product-related needs with Director of Sales.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of sales and/or account management experience in the outdoor industry (footwear a plus).
  • Established relationships and proven track record with target category buyers.
  • Working knowledge of the outdoor and footwear industries and competitive footwear landscapes.
  • Proficiency analyzing and articulating retail metrics (sales, margin, turns, GMROI, etc.).
  • Experience with enterprise software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM software, sales analytics reporting, and online meeting collaboration software (MS Teams, Zoom, etc.).
  • BS or BA degree required or equivalent experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel frequently within the territory by car and plane, and to occasionally to other US sales events.Estimated 90+ days of travel per year.
  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds and to stand and walk for extended periods.
