Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking an Account Sales Representative to develop independent account business and improve profitability through new sales and deeper account penetration. The role supports customer service activities for regional and national accounts, increasing the company’s marketplace visibility and market share.

You will work as a team member within the department to execute sales plans, manage pricing, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining strong customer

Qualifications

• 6–12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Generates additional business by analyzing sales territory and customers; samples products; plans sales strategy and presents to customers.
• Grows sales and profit margins to meet goals.
• Sets up new customer accounts, determines pricing, coordinates deliveries and follows up on satisfaction.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by providing strong service and coordinating with team members to resolve issues.
• Builds additional business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
• Monitors accounts for credit terms and follows up on any issues.
