Job summary

Continental Battery Systems in Fresno, CA seeks a Territory Sales Manager to grow our customer base and revenue in assigned markets. This outside-sales role requires frequent travel and a strategic approach to new client acquisition and retention.

The ideal candidate will build strong relationships, present compelling proposals, and collaborate with the sales team to drive growth while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent and GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Minimum 1 year outside sales in battery industry with profitability success.
• Minimum 3 years outside sales experience with ability to learn rapidly.

Responsibilities

• New Client Acquisition: proactively seek and develop new business opportunities within your territory.
• Client Retention and Growth: foster strong relationships with existing customers and drive repeat business.
• Sales Team Support: assist in mentoring the sales team and share best practices.
• Reporting and Analysis: conduct regular reporting on sales activities and market trends.
• Client Presentations and Negotiations: prepare visual presentations and written quotations, negotiate contracts.
• Administrative Tasks: utilize NetSuite CRM to maintain accurate records of activities.
• Field Sales: spend at least 80% of time soliciting clients away from the office for commission eligibility.
