Job summary

SiteOne Landscape Supply is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead sales growth across a high-impact California territory, including San Diego, the Inland Empire, Palm Desert and Hawaii. You will coach a team of sales professionals, drive market expansion, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure disciplined sales execution through CRM utilization.

The successful candidate will balance big-picture strategy with hands-on coaching, travel up to 60% across the CA territory, and quarterly Hawaii

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with wholesale distribution or green industry preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share goals.
• Partner with regional leadership to develop and execute sales strategies for long-term growth across the territory.
• Spend significant time in the field coaching sellers on customer engagement, account management, and negotiations.
• Drive accountability and performance through disciplined processes, KPI management, and CRM adoption.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and branch teams to identify growth opportunities.
• Leverage CRM tools to manage pipelines and track opportunities across markets.
• Represent the company at local/regional industry events and networking opportunities.
• Support underperforming markets and branches with leadership and targeted business development.
