Job summary

Mohawk Industries is seeking a Territory Manager in the Phoenix area to act as a selling agent for Mohawk's flooring brands. This entry-level role focuses on expanding the customer base and delivering on the company’s sales objectives within the assigned territory.

You will conduct sales calls, present products, quote prices, take orders, and provide excellent customer service while collaborating with internal teams to meet market needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree a plus.
• 1-3 years of progressively responsible work related experience in sales or relevant field.
• Ability to learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of Mohawk's products and customer markets.
• Knowledge of the terms, concepts and practices of marketing and sales, including product development, distribution, and customer service.
• Proficient with a PC, e-mail and other in-house database systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform sales calls across customer facilities, present, quote, take orders, and close transactions.
• Provide customer service to ensure resolution of issues within marketing policies.
• Communicate customer requirements and coordinate with other departments as necessary.
• Monitor territory performance and take action to improve results.
• Provide product feedback to managers to support company mission and objectives.
• Assist in establishing sales objectives with the District Manager and ensure activities comply with policies.
• Report field activities and assist with business and product planning.
• Develop a territory coverage plan defining contact frequency to meet goals.
• Analyze regional opportunities and forecast sales by customer and product.
