Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for the Redding, CA territory. The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotational weekends and requires a state phlebotomy license.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, patient identification, data entry, and delivering high-quality laboratory results while adhering to Quest standards. Competitive pay and benefits are offered, with travel within the territory required.

Qualifications

• Two years of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification required in CA, NV, WA, and LA.
• State phlebotomy license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen collections following established procedures for a variety of tests, including venipuncture and capillary draws.
• Obtain patient identification and signatures to confirm specimen labeling accuracy; perform data entry as necessary.
• Prepare specimens for transport and testing, including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and storage as required by test order.
• Research test/client information and confirm and verify all orders using lab systems or directories.
• Independently resolve routine patient and client concerns and escalate non-routine issues as needed.
• Provide professional, respectful service and communicate collection procedures clearly to patients and clients.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming collection environment and handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Travel within the assigned territory to deliver phlebotomy services at PSCs, Client Offices, or other sites and ensure timely completion of daily tasks.
