Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Redding, CA. Shift is Monday–Friday from 7:30 to 11:30 with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required; CA license is necessary (NHA not accepted in CA).

The role involves specimen collection, data entry, and patient-relevant tasks, with potential annual incentive considerations. Pay ranges from $21.80 to $23.75 per hour, with full- or part-time benefits depending on position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately to support role success.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments when required, following policies.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, phones and email.
