Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Redding, CA, Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 11:30, with rotational weekends. State phlebotomy license required; pay range is $21.80–$23.75 per hour. Annual bonus potential may apply, with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and handling of specimens and billing information. Part-time schedule eligible for benefits, with opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric testing.
• Handle oral solutions preparation and administration.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client communication.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Manage billing information and collections per policy.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport preparation.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory, stocking, sanitizing, and answering phones.
