Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, invites you to join our Outside Sales team focused on trench safety. You will drive revenue growth, build long-term customer relationships, and train clients on trench safety products.

In this role you’ll leverage your sales experience, safety awareness, and strategic planning to increase market share within your territory. A base salary with monthly commissions accompanies onboarding incentives and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required or preferred.
• Three years of sales experience.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational, communication and negotiation skills.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Certification in Competent Person Training and Confined Space (preferred).
• Knowledge of construction or trench safety equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographical territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, acting as single point of contact.
• Demonstrate and train customers on trench safety products.
• Call potential customers to set up demonstrations and on-site visits.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Collaborate with other teams to promote cross-selling.
• Instruct Competent Person Training & Confined Space Training classes.
• Install equipment and coordinate with installers as needed.
• Utilize CRM tools to develop pipeline of opportunities.
• Other duties as needed.
