R.P. Lumber is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow contractor and builder business from our Monon lumberyard. You will sell lumber and building materials to contractors, developers, property managers, realtors, and homeowners while coordinating with store teams.

Based in Monon, IN, this full-time role requires prospecting, quotes, bids, and timely orders. Travel within the territory, attend trade shows when directed, and help meet monthly volume and profit goals.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training or 1–2 years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to use BisTrack, Microsoft Word/Excel, estimating software and related systems at an intermediate level.
• Ability to perform basic business math including rates, ratios, percentages, and simple financial calculations.
• Strong communication, presentation, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to keep customer and company information confidential.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.

Aufgaben

• Build a prospect list from referrals, directories, trade activity, online sources, and local market knowledge.
• Travel the assigned territory to call on current and prospective customers; follow up by phone, email, and text.
• Handle assigned contractor and customer accounts.
• Match customer project needs with company products and services.
• Attend trade shows when directed.
