Job summary

R.P. Lumber is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow contractor and builder business in Linton, IN. You will sell lumber and building materials to contractors, developers, property managers, realtors, and homeowners.

You will work with the General Manager, Inside Sales, and store teams so orders, deliveries, and pricing stay on track. This full-time role offers a salary between $50,000 and $60,000 per year, with the potential for commissions and room to grow within a family-owned

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent technical training
• 1–2 years related experience
• Ability to use BisTrack, Microsoft Word and Excel, estimating software
• Strong communication, presentation, and follow-through skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Business development and account coverage in Linton, IN and surrounding area
• Travel the assigned territory to call on current and prospective customers
• Handle assigned contractor and customer accounts
• Quote prices, prepare bids, and set up delivery schedules
• Assist with inside counter sales when in-store
• Coordinate deliveries and resolve product/service issues
