Job summary

Mitra 9 Brands is seeking a Market Development Contractor for Minnesota to drive new business and expand distribution. This hands-on, field-based role focuses on prospecting, opening new accounts, and building a strong pipeline to meet territory goals.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, capable of cold calling, presenting products, and negotiating opportunities with decision-makers across retail and on-premise channels. Remote/field-based territory coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional field sales experience preferred, ideally in beverage, energy, alcohol, CPG, or related industry.
• Ability to prospect, cold call, open new accounts, grow existing accounts, and close sales.
• Entrepreneurial and self-directed with ability to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Aggressively prospect for new retail, on-premise, and other qualified accounts.
• Open new accounts and secure initial orders, placements, and distribution growth.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline with next steps and disciplined follow-up.
• Develop territory route and prospecting strategy to maximize selling time.
• Track prospects and follow up on opportunities and commitments.
• Report progress to the Regional Sales Manager.
