Job summary

Mutual Capital Services, Inc. is seeking a Territory Manager to cover Western Pennsylvania, with duties spanning agency management, marketing plan execution, and strategic business planning.

The role requires travel to agents within the territory and collaboration with underwriters to meet growth and profitability goals. The ideal candidate has a college degree or equivalent experience and 3+ years of P&C sales experience, with underwriting knowledge considered a plus.

Qualifications

• College degree or comparable work experience.
• 3+ years of P&C sales experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel 60%-70% of the work week, with some overnight stays possible.
• Commercial lines underwriting experience, a plus
• Efficient written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Agency management of assigned territory (recruiting, training, and supervising agents or sales representatives) including agency relationship and portfolio management and collaboration with the commercial, personal, and renewal underwriters.
• Develop, manage, and execute the territory marketing plan.
• Travel to assigned agents and/or as needed.
• Business planning and budgeting.
• Meeting growth, profit, new business and loss objectives.
• Line underwriting - Knowledge of commercial, personal and agricultural underwriting guides is necessary to provide technical support, assuring that Company policies and standards are being adhered to.
• Meeting producer and policyholder service standards.
