Job summary

Shaw Industries Group, Inc. seeks a Territory Manager for Carpet in Southwest Connecticut. The role focuses on maintaining and expanding Shaw’s market share through dealer relationships, product education, and strategic sales execution.

The candidate will conduct daily sales calls, build displays, and prospect for new accounts while partnering with designers and end-users to grow Shaw’s residential product lines across Shaw Floors, Anderson Tuftex, and Philadelphia Commercial.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or GED is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required.
• Must be able to travel and lift samples up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including some evenings.
• Proficient with laptop and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Daily sales calls on existing customers with emphasis on hard surface flooring products.
• Present products to retailers, designers and end-users and analyze leads.
• Sell and construct display racks.
• Prospect for new accounts while developing market knowledge for territory.
• Prepare and communicate periodic sales reports and analyze sales statistics for the territory.
• Enter customer interactions into Salesforce.com and manage product education for customers.
