Job summary

The outside sales representative at Baldwin Supply Company is a field-based role focused on driving revenue through new customer acquisition and managing existing accounts within an assigned territory. You will travel to client sites, conduct in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and presentations to identify needs and close deals.

You will build lasting relationships, collaborate with product specialists and inside sales, and participate in training to stay current on power transmission,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Industrial Supply or Business.
• Industrial Sales experience of 5 years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote Baldwin products (power transmission, conveyor belting, electric motor, automation, industrial supply) to meet customer requirements.
• Identify target prospects and create strategic plans to convert prospects to customers.
• Build and sustain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Provide best-in-class customer service and technical expertise to promote Baldwin’s value.
• Coordinate with product specialists and inside sales to manage current business and secure new business.
• Maintain professional relationships with strategic suppliers.
• Participate in company-sponsored sales and technical training.”
• Meet with assigned customers at their facilities (30%).
• Prospect for new customers (20%).
• Compete against competitors at existing accounts (20%).
• Coordinate with internal teams to grow current business (20%).
• Continuous training on technical expertise and selling strategies (10%).
