Job summary

Ben E. Keith Company, a leading multi-state distributor of food and beverage, seeks a Distributor Sales Representative – Outside to drive sales with food service accounts in assigned territory.

The role emphasizes travel to customer sites, prospecting new clients, and delivering on BEK’s sales goals. Candidates should have a bachelor’s in marketing or equivalent sales experience, at least three years in food service sales, and solid computer skills with Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing preferred or equivalent sales experience.
• At least three years of food service sales experience selling to restaurants for a major food service distributor.
• Good computer skills, with ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
• Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations within last 3 years; No DUI convictions within the last 3 years

Responsibilities

• Travel to customers’ places of business in assigned territories to ensure customer’s food products and supplies are adequately maintained.
• Compile a list of prospective customers based on research from newspapers, business directories and other sources for use as sales leads.
• Perform daily sales tasks to ensure optimal sales performance and goal expectations are met
