Job summary

Gordon Food Service is seeking an Outside Food Sales Representative to manage the assigned territory, cultivate new customers, and strengthen existing relationships. The role includes pursuing new business, presenting product solutions, and coordinating territory visits to drive growth.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree or culinary certificate, and at least 1 year in sales or food service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Bachelor’s degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
• 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
• Maintaining a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain your food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Pursuing new customers, researching industry trends, identifying prospective customers and presenting sales strategies.
• Deepen and strengthen existing customer relationships through regular visits, business reviews, and training on Gordon Food Service products.
• Manage sales territory by balancing new customer acquisition with growth of existing accounts and communicating order status to customers.
• Participate in sales training during the initial period to learn systems, processes, products, and the sales process.
