Job summary

Gordon Food Service in the United States is seeking an Outside Food Sales Representative to cultivate relationships, develop new business, and provide innovative solutions to customers within the assigned territory. The role focuses on pursuing new customers, deepening existing relationships, and managing sales territory while delivering training and support to customers.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and 1 year of sales or food service experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree and/or culinary certificate preferred.
• 1 year of prior sales, business, or food service experience.
• Valid state driver's license and safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants within your territory.
• Identify and research prospective customers within your territory.
• Develop sales strategies that highlight Gordon Food Service offerings to prospective customers.
• Visit all customers within the territory on a regular basis.
• Conduct business reviews to determine customer needs and opportunities for growth.
• Provide ongoing training on Gordon Food Service products to customers.
• Coordinate visits and manage communications to balance new and existing customers.
