Job summary

Acosta Group in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a full-time Merchandising Associate to promote and merchandise CPG products within a defined territory. You will build relationships with store personnel and clients, execute displays and promotions, and drive in-store sales growth on a daytime Mon–Fri schedule (7am–5pm).

The role emphasizes identifying sales opportunities, managing routing, and reporting on performance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be comfortable using a smart device with multiple apps.
• Ability to work independently under remote supervision with integrity and professionalism.
• Physical ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
• Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to multiple stores in a territory.
• Must be willing to transport required materials.
• Experience in outside sales, CPG industry, retail or field sales & merchandising is preferred.
• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales performance by promoting and selling consumer packaged goods (CPG) products and merchandising within assigned territory.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, store personnel and client stakeholders to drive in store sales growth.
• Execute merchandising standards including displays and promotions.
• Participate in in-store sales events and promotional events.
• Identify new sales opportunities and expand product distribution.
• Manage assigned territory through effective routing and prioritization.
• Communicate sales performance insights to internal teams and clients.
• Complete reporting and administrative tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and merchandising standards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products sold and new product launches.
• Keep management informed of store issues, competitive activity, and market trends.
• Ensure full product distribution and display in all assigned accounts.
• Document and report activities, including sales results, merchandising, and store observations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
