Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a field sales professional to expand our customer base across the assigned territory.

You will promote Sunbelt’s safety culture, develop territory sales plans, and deliver technical sales and application solutions to customers. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus 2+ years in construction-related sales, strong consultative selling skills, travel up to 50%, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams to close deals and meet targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience plus 2+ years of direct experience in construction-related sales.
• Proven track record in consultative selling.
• Strong construction background with the ability to learn engineering concepts.
• Travel up to 50% depending on territory.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and promote Sunbelt’s safety culture.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans to expand existing customer base.
• Develop new customers within assigned territory and market segments to grown the business.
• Solicit business by calling on regular and prospective customers via phone or visiting job sites.
• Provide technical sales and application solutions for customers.
• Prepare detailed proposals to solicit orders, close deals and win business.
• Coordinate project specs with internal operational teams to meet customer timelines and requirements.
• Monitor market data such as competitor products and sales activities in the territory.
• Maintain CRM database with daily sales activity and job site details.
• In collaboration with management, achieve annual territory sales plan with KPI, revenue and growth targets.
• Learn all technical aspects of equipment and its applications.
• Provide technical training to customers on use, operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with product demos, delivery and diagnostics as needed to ensure customer success.
• Serve as the primary contact during planning, troubleshooting, and completion of temporary fencing projects.
• Develop and manage relationships with local and national sellers in general tool and specialty divisions.
