Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a senior field sales professional to promote building solutions to owners, primarily at the director level, and to develop long-term partnerships. You will focus on expanding renewable service offerings and maintaining customer satisfaction while driving revenue.

In this role you will manage opportunities from prospecting to close, renew existing agreements, and work with owner representatives to align Johnson Controls services with business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field required.
• Minimum of six (6) years of progressive field sales experience.
• At least one year selling HVAC or building automation service or projects.
• Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and quality in business.
• Excellent initiative and interpersonal communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers at key levels.

Responsibilities

• Sell Johnson Controls offerings persuasively to building owners at the D-level while reaching optimal profit levels.
• Focus on improving the existing building to allow the owner to achieve business objectives.
• Manage ongoing opportunities, particularly focusing on selling services and retrofits.
• Sell, renew and expand renewable service agreements, including multi-year agreements, to both new and existing customers.
• Build partnering relationships with the owner or owner representatives responsible for the decision-making process.
• Actively listen, probe and identify concerns.
• Understand the customer's business and speak their language.
