Job summary

All Star Rents, a family-owned equipment rental business since 1962, seeks an Outside Sales Representative for the East District. You’ll develop new business, maintain relationships with contractors, and expand equipment rental and sales revenue within your territory, visiting branches less than 20% of time.

This full-time, exempt role offers a base salary with unlimited commissions, onboarding, and benefits including 401K and health options.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Valid CA driver’s license.
• Valid proof of eligibility to work in the US.
• Previous outside sales experience preferred in equipment rental or construction.
• Proven track record of success in sales and business development.
• Solid negotiation and communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Self-starter and results oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Prospect new and grow existing business within assigned territory through cold calling, jobsite visits, and referrals.
• Build and strengthen relationships with contractors, construction companies, and industrial customers.
• Identify customer needs and recommend equipment and solutions across the full product line.
• Leverage knowledge to support customer jobsite needs, increase sales, and provide basic training.
• Manage territory accounts through regular jobsite visits and proactive outreach.
• Prepare quotes, follow up on leads, rentals, and opportunities.
• Schedule work orders and prepare rental contracts with branch operations.
• Track sales activity, customer interactions, and keep call logs up to date.
• Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to improve sales strategy.
• Coordinate with inside sales and yard staff to ensure equipment availability and service.
• Provide operational support at branch less than 20% of work time.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area including the company vehicle.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
• Structured onboarding and training program provided.
