One of our clients, a long-established, multi-location wholesale distributor of technical equipment and parts, is looking for a driven Territory Account Manager to own and grow a sales territory based out of Slidell, LA.
This is a field-based, relationship-driven role for someone who enjoys being in front of customers, building partnerships with contractors and dealers, and turning market insight into measurable revenue. What You’ll Be Doing
- Take full ownership of an assigned territory, driving revenue growth and expanding market share
- Prospect and win new business while strengthening and growing existing accounts
- Recruit and develop new dealer partners using targeted programs and market strategies
- Hold at least 20 in-person customer meetings each week
- Negotiate pricing that stays competitive in the market while protecting profit margins
- Meet or beat your individual sales targets and contribute to overall regional results
- Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to plan territory strategy, forecast growth, and uncover new opportunities
- Collaborate with manufacturer and vendor partners to identify and act on sales opportunities
- Respond quickly to customer concerns and resolve issues with a solutions-first mindset
- Represent the business at dealer meetings, trade shows, conferences, incentive trips, product demos, and industry events
- Take part in ongoing training to sharpen your product knowledge and sales skills
What You Bring
- 2-4 years of B2B sales experience in the same or a closely related industry (wholesale distribution of technical or mechanical equipment preferred)
- Candidates with 5-10 years of outside B2B sales experience in other industries will also be considered, provided they can show a documented track record of results
- Proven ability to set, track, and hit sales goals
- Hands-on experience using a CRM to manage pipelines, track opportunities, and report activity
- Comfort analyzing sales and market data to guide territory decisions
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to act as a trusted business advisor to customers
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- A self-starter who works well independently and also thrives within a team
- Eagerness to learn, share knowledge, and grow into leadership
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to pick up new software quickly
Work Requirements
- Regular driving within the assigned territory to visit customers
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
- Clean driving record for the past 3 years
