Covenant Logistics in Decatur, AR is seeking a Terminal Manager to coordinate and optimize activities across multiple departments, ensuring service excellence and efficient asset utilization. You will coach a team of experienced drivers and align with customers on fleet performance and costs.

The role emphasizes leadership, DOT knowledge, and ongoing process improvement in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Valid CDL preferred.
• 2+ years transportation experience required.
• Leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage multiple locations and/or departments.
• Manage Dedicated Fleet of Professional Drivers with authority to take actions and/or make recommendations affecting discipline and employment status.
• Monitor, direct and/or dispatch all transportation activities within the assigned department.
• Responsible for service failures, communication, equipment, utilization, driver turnover, fuel, safety, maintenance.
• Maintain Customer Relations through excellent communication and client visits.
• Provide daily updates to Position Control spreadsheet and review coaching related to Lytx cameras.
• Track attendance, time off and home time requests per department expectations.
• Maintain positive communication with drivers to deliver on time and reduce turnover.
• Receive ETAs/PTAs and confirmations of load assignments; communicate expectations for performance and safety.
• Monitor and trace loads to address late pickups or deliveries and changes; collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues.
