Job summary

Covenant Transport is seeking a Terminal Operations Specialist to oversee day-to-day operations at the Chattanooga driver resource center. You will ensure equipment utilization, streamline driver flows through compliance, and enhance the driver experience from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities include coordinating driver and equipment assignments, onboarding, documentation, and performance monitoring to drive efficiency and service levels. Benefits and robust health plans accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 2+ years of Fleet Management experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for professional drivers at the Chattanooga terminal and ensure a positive driver experience.
• Drive terminal efficiency by identifying and removing operational roadblocks and reducing dwell time.
• Collaborate with fleet management, equipment, and cross-functional teams to coordinate driver and equipment assignments.
• Support driver onboarding, documentation, credentials, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate and distribute load documentation and ensure timely processing.
• Maintain transportation management system records and complete load closeouts.
• Monitor performance metrics and recommend process improvements for service and cost efficiency.
• Manage driver storage and disposition of unclaimed items per company guidelines.
• Communicate with drivers and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure continuity.
• Support driver orientation and ongoing communications about processes and resources.
