Job summary

Crowley is seeking an experienced Operations professional to oversee cargo-related operations in a hybrid work environment. The role involves reviewing processes, coordinating with IT and business teams, and managing projects with direct customer contact to determine operational needs.

Responsibilities include cost estimation, vessel scheduling, and ensuring efficient utilization of drivers and equipment, while supporting governance and process improvements. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation or a related field.
• 12 years combined post high school education and experience.
• 5–7 years’ experience managing terminal operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience with Tideworks Suite is a plus.
• Travel up to 25–50%.

Responsibilities

• Review business processes to identify inefficiencies and coordinate improvements with IT and business teams.
• Manage cargo-related operations or major projects with direct customer contact to determine needs.
• Prepare cost estimates and proposed operations plans or reviews.
• Document progress, compare cost estimates to actuals, and analyze variances.
• Maintain vessel scheduling, driver and equipment utilization, and inter-department coordination.
• Support implementation of process-related policies, governance to enable a process-driven culture.
• Travel as required.
