Job summary

Crowley is seeking a skilled operations supervisor to oversee the safe discharge, organization, storage, and movement of cargo through the terminal. The role requires coordinating stevedoring, yard operations, and adherence to safety and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, transportation, logistics or related field and at least four years of yard or vessel operations experience, with union supervision a plus. Proficiency in MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, transportation, logistics or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in yard or vessel operations; union supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supervising the safe discharge, organization, storage, and movement of cargo through the terminal.
• Assist in planning and coordinating stevedoring and yard operations for maximum efficiency.
• Manage staffing of union employees, safety rule enforcement, operations oversight, and reporting.
• Ensure cargo and empties are identified and loaded per procedures.
• Formulate and implement stowage plans for vessel stability and trim.
