Job summary

Active Truck Transport seeks a hands-on Assistant Terminal Manager to support the Terminal Manager in achieving productivity, quality, and delivery targets. You will oversee terminal operations in a high-volume setting with union staff and ensure policies are understood and followed.

You will monitor safety programs, driver/customer relations, and training initiatives while guiding a team toward performance improvements and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent preferred with related experience.
• Experience or training in terminal operations and supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret safety instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise terminal staff and monitor productivity metrics.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT regulations and company policies.
• Coach and mentor team, support growth and development.
• Enforce uniform policies, safety attire and inspection programs.
• Communicate expectations to drivers and staff daily.
• Manage pre/post-trip inspections and incident follow-up.
• Handle non-compliance per company policy.
