Job summary

Colonial-Group-In is seeking an Assistant Terminal Manager to lead growth and ensure the safe, efficient operation of the assigned terminal(s). You will build strong partnerships with the sales team, operations, drivers, vendors and customers while developing your staff.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, safety program administration, fleet maintenance oversight, efficient dispatch, DOT compliance, inventory control, and vendor cost optimization. Travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 years in petroleum maintenance management preferred.
• CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and 2+ years driving experience required.
• Strong understanding of DOT rules and motor carrier environment.
• HSSE track record is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and executes strategic plans to support growth.
• Trains, motivates, and enables the operations team.
• Administers all aspects of safety programs.
• Oversees fleet maintenance in accordance with company and DOT standards.
• Ensures efficient dispatch, minimizing costs and sales-to-delivery timelines.
• Maintains DOT compliance, IFTA mileage, driver logs, and DVIRS.
• Supervises inventory management functions and site product integrity program.
• Negotiates with vendors to lower operations costs.
• Assists with deliveries, field maintenance on pumps and tanks, and warehouse duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
