Job summary

Benihana - Broomfield is hiring a hibachi cook to entertain guests while preparing meals in front of them. You will ensure proper portions, maintain clean cooking areas, and deliver a memorable dining experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to successfully pass Benihana chef training program.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order.
• Performs a cooking show for assigned tables with guest interaction.
• Readily provides guests with information about Benihana foods as they are being cooked.
• Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests.
• Asks guests for cooking preference and follows instructions.
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other items for cooking.
• Performs shift opening and closing duties as assigned by the manager.
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen and teppan areas; reports issues.
• Ensures portions, quality standards, and presentation meet company guidelines.
• Handles, stores, labels and rotates foods following FIFO.
• Uses knives and utensils to portion, cut, and prepare food.
• Adheres to alcoholic beverage service guidelines.
• Presents a clean and courteous appearance to guests.
• Notifies MOD if guests are dissatisfied or an accident occurs.
